The Russell 2000 ($IWM $RUT) is up over 7% from Thursday afternoon’s low as portfolio managers trip over one another to add more “beta” – the 20-day EMA crossed up over the 50-day SMA today in a so called “golden cross”, however, given that today’s daily candle is almost completely outside the upper Bollinger band and the $NYMO reading is near 100 some near term caution is in order (although both the Bollinger band and NYMO conditions are often corrected through time and not price):
